Simple Infrared Transmitter Circuit

The below circuit is a simple Infrared Transmitter Circuit. This circuit can be used in the form of an infrared Remote control, with a frequency modulated tone

In this Circuits we have to transistors Q1 and Q2. Q1 (BC547) is a NPN Silicon Amplifier Transistors. On the other hand Transistor Q2 (BC557) is PNP general purpose transistor. In this circuit transmitting frequency is determined by Capacitor C1 and adjusted by using the trim pot 100k. The transmitter LED should be a infrared type. And we can achieved more power by connecting two LED's in series with a series of 100 ohm resistors which is no less than 22.Supply voltages which becomes the operating Voltages for the infrared transmitter can also be increased to 9V.
